2.Allow your hair extensions to dry thoroughly before storing them. You can lay them flat on a towel or use clothes pins to clip them to a hanger and then hang them to dry. Storing damp hair extensions can lead to mold, mildew and strong odors within the hair fibers (especially for human hair extensions).
3.Place your hair extensions in a plastic bag or a plastic storage container. Select a container large enough to provide adequate space for the extensions to breathe and remain neat. You can purchase a storage container designed specifically for storing hair extensions at a local beauty-supply store. These storage bags typically contain mesh vents to allow air to circulate around the hair extensions to prevent odors, and hair can keep fresh till you wear them again.
4.Place the storage bag or container in a location away from direct sunlight, such as a closet shelf or drawer. Extended exposure to sunlight can lighten the natural color of hair extensions and make them look dingy like many years past.
